The Seed Pod Photo by Denisevasquez V. — National Geographic Your Shot: (Click on link to view original photo & post)
The Southern Magnolia is native to all of the Deep South States including California & needs the full sun to truly flourish. They bloom in June, their big white leaves shed as they flower, and they fill the air with a beautiful aroma. There are many stages of the Magnolia and this is the first time I've witnessed the beginning of the seed pod stage. The beautiful patterns, textures & colors caught my eye as I walked the streets of Hollywood searching for inspiration.
