“The day I stop creating is the day I die”
~Denise Vasquez

DKE Toys invited me to create a logo for them

I really wanted to make

Something special

An idea came to me

Right away

"Balloon Hearts"

Yes, I'm ALL about LOVE

I had one obstacle

My right hand

My drawing hand

The hand I use to do everything

Is still badly injured

I've been in arm cast/splintS

Since Jan 6th

Last week it was put in a smaller hand splint

I'll be in this hand splint until my next visit

With the hand specialist on March 18th

'Til then, I'm pushing thru the pain

And finding ways to stay creative

With my left hand...

For the DKE logo

I decided to try working with my beads

To my delight

I discovered

It's easier for me to bead

With my left hand!

Some say perhaps I am

I'm just happy that I'm able

To stay creative!

Keeps me happy!

I finished up the logo yesterday

Presented it to the DKE Toys folks

Last night

They LOVE it

And will be using it!

I LOVE discovering

What I'm capable of

When put to the test!
