Recipe: My Home Made Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce by Denise Vasquez

Here's My recipe for a special Home Made Thanksgiving day fresh cranberry sauce

I made this from scratch!

Many, many years ago, I picked up a GREAT recipe from an amazing chef while working in a fine dining restaurant... I added my own touches over the years & this is the result of my recipe today!

Here's what you need:
-fresh cranberries
-fresh orange
-pecans or walnuts
-pure maple syrup
-brown sugar

In a saucepan, combine one bag of fresh cranberries, 8 oz bottle of pure maple syrup, take 1/2 fresh orange & squeeze juice over cranberries, tsp of brown sugar, 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts, and 1/4 cup water. Cook over medium heat, bring to a small boil, remove from heat let sit for at least an hour. Serve warm! Enjoy!
